When the marketing manager of Imperial London Hotels approached Mark Weeks Photo & Video, they faced a unique challenge: How do you visually differentiate seven hotels in Central London, whilst maintaining a consistent brand identity?
Imperial London Hotels needed a comprehensive suite of imagery showcasing everything their hotels had to offer—from luxurious rooms and modern event spaces to curated dining experiences and professional business facilities.
Our brief required us to photograph every aspect of seven of their properties, including:
This newly created image library became the foundation of Imperial London Hotels’s rebrand, providing them with versatile, on-brand content for their website, social media, email marketing, in-hotel signage, and print materials.
With many of their hotels newly refurbished, Imperial Hotels saw an opportunity to update their digital presence.
This upgrade gave potential guests and event planners a realistic, interactive view of the hotels before they even stepped inside with the aim of increasing engagement, trust, and conversions.
Imperial then invited us to capture their brand-new business centre at the Royal National Hotel, designed to attract corporate clients and business travellers. Our content package included:
By creating a multi-channel content strategy, we helped increase their market presence across digital platforms.
To further enhance their brand presence, Imperial Hotels tasked us with photographing senior management team portraits.
Working closely with their marketing team, we developed a polished yet approachable style with both a plain background and environmental style portraits. These images were used for press releases, LinkedIn profiles, and corporate presentations, reinforcing trust and professionalism.
To document this process, we’ve utilised:
As the transformation continues, we’re excited to share the final results once the project is completed, offering a lasting visual testament to the hotel’s remarkable journey and its upcoming debut as a flagship property.
Currently undergoing a major “once-in-a-generation” refurbishment, we have the privilege of documenting the Imperial Hotel’s transformation as it evolves over 18 months. This refurbishment will culminate in the hotel’s reopening in 2026 as a four-star deluxe flagship property.
The Imperial Hotel, located near Russell Square, was originally opened in the early 1900s. However, in 1967, the original building was demolished due to structural issues and outdated facilities. A new building was completed in 1970, marking the hotel’s modern incarnation, which has remained a significant part of the London landscape.
Now, as the hotel undergoes a complete renovation, we are using video, still, and time-lapse photography to create a visual timeline of this monumental transformation. This approach allows us to capture the full scope of the refurbishment, showing its progress in a dynamic, engaging format.
Through high-quality photography, immersive virtual tours, engaging video content, and executive portraits, we provided a cohesive yet distinct representation of each hotel and a cohesive library for the group as a whole.
